What brought you into this field?

I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I was a teen at around the age of 15. I had gone through many of my own experiences through therapy as well as through the foster care system that impacted me positively. I felt that with my lived experience and the positive relationships I had with various social workers and therapists, I could empathize and support others going through challenging transitions as well. This led me into going to school and working within the social work field.

Counseling style:

I like to utilize strengths based and trauma informed approaches when working with others. I do my best to provide a non judgmental space that feels more conversational and can utilize humor at times when appropriate to help bring folks at ease.

Modalities:

I tend to work with a CBT oriented lens but will utilize other modalities such as narrative practices and DBT skills.

Specializations:

Anxiety, Depression, ADHD

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts; BA in Psychology, 2016

I have worked in several behavioral health settings including: partial hospitalization programs, residential settings, and interned at a community health counseling center in an outpatient setting until I landed in alternative education. From 2017 to 2022, I worked for a Gap Year Program as an advisor for students from ages 17 to 23 with various learning differences such as ADHD and ASD and mental health conditions looking to seek their next steps into adulthood post high school or needing to take a break from traditional educational paths.
