What brought you into this field?

I’ve dreamed of being a therapist since I was 14, and I have found social work to be my calling because I aspire to make our society more inclusive. I find it empowering to inspire others to be their best selves and to help them understand their needs.

Counseling style:

I use a strengths-based approach and make a point to understand how YOU tick. You take the lead in sessions and I’ll help guide you in reaching your goals in therapy. Usually I’ll want to incorporate a bit of homework outside of sessions to practice skills.

Modalities:

DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused

Specializations:

Eating disorders
Body image
Neurodivergence
LGBTQ
Polyamory

Education:

BS in Neuroscience and French from Trinity College
MSW from Fairfield University

Past Experience:

– Former MHC and clinician at Walden Behavioral Care, where I provided group and individual therapy at the PHP/IOP level of care for individuals with eating disorders
– Helped found Rainbow Road, an LGBTQ-exclusive virtual eating disorder PHP/IOP
– Clinical intern at Rushford, a substance use residential facility

Trainings:

I completed a concentration in sexual and gender minority mental health in my MSW program. I also have attended multiple DBT trainings, and attend continuing education seminars on eating disorders, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ competency. Additionally, I am level 1 Gottman trained.
