What brought you into this field?

My interest in this field stems from my personal experience navigating my mental health, and the challenges that arise from seeking support in our imperfect system. As a queer, biracial, Filipina-American womxn, I noticed a lack in clinicians with similar backgrounds/identities, and aspired to fill the gap to better support my communities.

Counseling style:

I practice from a trauma-informed, person-centered, and decolonial lens. I aim to create a safe space that nurtures the therapeutic relationship, so that our work can be more candid, collaborative, and, at times, humorous! I will work with you to set realistic goals and adapt each session to your personal needs.

Modalities:

My counseling style is built upon feminist, decolonial, and trauma-informed frameworks. I tailor my practice according to a clients needs, but most often incorporate person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my work.

LGBTQIA+ Identities/Sexuality, PTSD/C-PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, First-Generation, Biracial/Multiracial Identities, College Students, Adults/Adolescents

MA in Mental Health Counseling with a Concentration in Trauma Stress Studies and Intervention Responses from Boston College
