What brought you into this field?

I have always found myself interested in psychology and mental health. Prior to working at Leaves of Change, I was working on a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology program because of my interest in reforming mental health and well-being in the workplace to focus more on the whole person. I figured working at Leaves of Change might provide helpful insights that I could later apply in my future career; instead, it sparked an interest in social work, and so I started a MSW program. I ended not completing that program due to issues I had with the program, but I am currently considering going back to school finish my MSW degree at a different school.

What are you passionate about?

Music (and creative expression in general), food, psychology, and video games. I’m also passionate about health equity and treating the whole person (rather than just a symptom), LGBTQIA+ rights, and disability rights.

Fun Facts:
  1. I started my college career at Johnson & Wales University’s culinary arts program.
  2. I have a rare autoimmune disease (mixed connective tissue disease).
  3. In 2014, I completed a study abroad program at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
