What brought you into this field?
In full transparency, I got into the field because I needed a job! What has kept me in the field for 15 years, however, was my first clinical supervisor. She had over 30 years of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and was so fierce, personable, knowledgeable, humble, funny, and unafraid to use her voice to name injustice. How she centered a commitment to anti-oppression and joy in her practice has deeply informed my own clinical values, and continues to motivate and nourish me as I do this work.
Counseling style:
When meeting with clients, I aim to co-create a space that honors their identities and lived experiences so that an authentic, transparent, and trusting therapeutic relationship can be built over time. I believe that trust is cultivated through consistency, accountability, and open communication and should never be taken for granted. I approach clients with warmth, curiosity, humility, humor, and a commitment to anti-oppressive values.

Empowerment Based Therapy, CBT, Relational Cultural Therapy
